Payment Policy

At SourceVogue, transparency, financial integrity, and security are fundamental to our strategic sourcing partnerships. This Payment Policy outlines the terms, procedures, and responsibilities regarding financial transactions for manufacturing, sampling, and production services arranged through our network.

1. Direct-to-Manufacturer Payment Structure

To eliminate unnecessary intermediary fees, prevent broker markups, and ensure full financial transparency, all production and manufacturing payments are made directly by the client to the verified bank account of the selected manufacturer.

  • No Broker Collections: SourceVogue does not collect or hold production funds on behalf of manufacturers unless explicitly agreed upon for specific administrative fees or service retainers.

  • Factory-Direct Invoicing: Invoices for raw materials, sample development, mass production, and tooling are issued directly by the audited manufacturing entity handling your order.

2. Mandatory Pre-Payment Account Verification

The security of your funds is paramount. Prior to executing any wire transfer, Telegraphic Transfer (T/T), or banking transaction, clients are required to perform a mandatory verification of the manufacturer’s bank account details.

Verification Steps Required by the Client:

  • Official Invoice Review: Ensure the beneficiary bank account name matches the exact registered business name of the audited manufacturing facility provided in your SourceVogue sourcing agreement.

  • Dual-Channel Confirmation: Before releasing funds, confirm account details through a second, independent communication channel (e.g., verifying via a direct video call or contacting your dedicated SourceVogue account manager).

  • Rejection of Third-Party Accounts: Never remit payment to personal bank accounts, unverified offshore holding companies, or third-party accounts not explicitly listed in the formal factory agreement.

Important Security Disclaimer: SourceVogue will never send altered bank details via plain text email or request payment transfers to personal accounts. If you receive suspicious payment instructions or requests to change bank details via email, do not execute the transfer and contact your SourceVogue representative immediately.

3. Standard Production Payment Milestones

To protect both clients and production facilities, standard manufacturing orders follow a structured milestone schedule:

  • Sampling & Tooling: 100% upfront payment required prior to pattern making, custom mold creation, or sample development.

  • Mass Production Deposit: Standard 30% deposit upon invoice approval to secure raw materials and initiate production lines.

  • Balance Payment: Remaining 70% balance due upon successful completion of pre-shipment Quality Assurance (QA) inspection and approval of the final inspection report, prior to factory dispatch.

(Note: Payment milestone ratios may vary slightly depending on factory agreements, order volumes, or custom raw material requirements.)

4. Payment Methods & Currency

  • Accepted Methods: International Wire Transfer / Telegraphic Transfer (T/T), Letter of Credit (L/C) for qualifying large-volume orders, and major institutional bank transfers.

  • Currency: Unless specified otherwise on the official invoice, payments must be settled in USD (United States Dollars) or the agreed-upon local trade currency specified in the factory agreement.

  • Transaction Fees: The client is responsible for all sender-side bank transfer fees, intermediary banking costs, and foreign exchange conversion fees.

5. Client Responsibility & Liability Limitation

While SourceVogue conducts background checks, audits manufacturing entities, and facilitates secure introductions:

  • Final Due Diligence: The client retains final responsibility for executing due diligence on payment details before initiating financial transfers.

  • Transfer Errors: SourceVogue is not liable for funds transferred to incorrect bank accounts, unauthorized third-party accounts, or misdirected wires resulting from unverified changes made outside our official communication channels.
